| Mash @ 122F for 30 minutes, and then at 154-156F for 60 minutes, raise the temp by adding 1 1/2-2 gallons boiling water, 1/2 gallon at atime. Sparge normally & Boil for 90 minutes add the brown sugar at start of boil. Ferment as you would for a good ale. I am looking for a House Best Bitters, will brew this on Valentine’s Day with my honey, I will post results in comment section once it is carbonated and I am able to sample. Update: 6-10-2005, I have made this three times, it is a WINNER ! ! ! |
