It's always good to know my beer is being enjoyed. If only I could get good results as you two experience from every bottle. I would be a happy man...

Well, I sat down and cracked open a tasty homebrew left in my icebox by one Peter Hutchins today. It made me drunk and then Forrest and I had sex.

I think you've made the correct assumptions.
1. As far as boiling the priming solution for 10min - it serves two purposes first it fully disolves the sugars allowing it to dilute more consistently throughout the beer, and second it sterilizes the sugar/malt. From what I understand, you need to be concerned about steralizing any post brew-day boil ingredient, except for hops. Hops apparently are self-sanitizing because of their high bitterness.
2. The Bottle when fermentation is complete, target gravity is reached, and beer has cleared (approximately 3 weeks)…” seems to be just a more detailed description of " when fermentation is complete". It makes sense, even if the majority of fermentation activity has ended, there still can be plenty of more sugars to be converted. My cider has been in the secondary for almost a month and it still shows some activity, after three weeks in the primary, it seemed like fermentation was complete, but obviously not. Clearing and reaching target gravity are pretty concrete indications that the fermentation has indeed completed.

We'll see if the flavor is in the Steam Beer, since it too uses LME, the only batch so far that I've done that has.

Did you get a gravity reading before and after adding the corn sugar at the 2ndary stage? If the OG was 1.015 1lb of corn sugar would have added 37 gravity points bringing it to approximately 1.022.

I imagine you need to add the extra points into the beginning OG to get the true ABV. My calulations get it closer to 9.8 ABV.
